I have a big, 1.18 carat old european cut diamond that I would like to sell. I am not sure of the age, but the jewelers I have spoken too seemed to think it was old, being as how the old european cut is a more classic than contemporary style. The cut reflects light from numerous faces in this style and is really quite beautiful. It is just the diamond, there is no setting or ring. The old setting is still partially attached and would have to be removed. The color, I, and clarity, SI-2, ratings are near the highest possible. There is a small nick in the stone,but it is invisible to the naked eye, unless you know exactly where to look. The appraised value of the stone is 6500 dollars, with potential to be more if the nick was polished out. The appraisal states that pending removal of the nick via polishing the stone cold move up to VS-2 rating, and I was told that the estimated value then would be between 8000 and 8500 dollars. To get a second opinion, I brought the stone to a different jeweler and they quoted the same (6500) value and weight. I did not get a second appraisal however. If you are interested, I will send you a copy of the appraisal and a picture of the diamond. The picture is b&w and doesnt quite do the stone justice, but all of the color pictures I tried showed too much reflection. This stone would make a perfect drop necklace or the like. You must see it in person to appreciate the beauty.

From what I have been able to find out, the appreciation for this size diamond is 5%-10% per year, so it would appraise for a little bit more today. Needless to say, my engagement didn't work out as planned, but I would like for someone who needs a really nice ring for his lady get a great deal on a really nice ring. You can even have it reappraised if you so desire just to make sure your money will be well spent. This ring was worn for less than two months, and has been sitting in my safe in it's original boxes ever since. Shame, it really is a gorgeous diamond ring.

Beautiful 3 stone emerald cut diamond ring- 2 ct t.w.! Band is 18 K white gold. 6 channel set princess cut diamonds line the band. Setting is called a "cathedral" setting and is very elegant. Ring is a size 6.5 but I spoke with a jeweler and he said that it would not be a problem to be sized either 2 sizes smaller or larger. I barely wore this ring since I am a nurse. It is in excellent condition. It was purchased in 2005 at Gordon's Jewelers. I have all the paperwork on the ring including the grading, summary appraisal, receipt of purchase and warranty. I regularly had the ring cleaned and inspected. The ring was purchased for $5000 and the retail replacement value is $6000!! I am selling for a fraction of the price!
