Hi, my name is Clifford and I am 26 years old and play the keyboard. I am simply looking for at least one other guy in his 20s who plays guitar, likes a variety of pop-rock music and would like to play some pop-rock music together. Possibly meet a bass guitar player and a drummer through this guitar player and maybe start a band.

I will need guys like myself who are not highly experienced, but at the same time, have had lessons to learn their instrument and the basics of music theory. I'm a beginner in terms of playing music with people, but quite advanced in terms of music knowledge. I can also play by ear.

My current skills are playing rock and pop covers. Most of the songs I play are still works in progress. A few songs that are finished include "Like A Prayer" by Madonna, "Don't Mean Nothing" by Richard Marx, and "Don't Wait" by Dashboard Confessional.

I would eventually like to learn how to write songs. After polishing up some covers, and writing some songs, I'd like to do some shows around Baton Rouge.

I have a small amp so can't rock really hard yet, but I want to at some point.
my musical interests are not limited to the title, that is just ideas of what I like.
I really want to play drugged out, pop, etc... kraut rock is a big influence as well.
Don't want to just sit and list every influence, but you get the idea. Working on getting more effects....

I have a BS in Audio Production from Ithaca College in NY and have been working in the audio production/recording industry for about 8 years now. Home recording has now become a very viable option to spending tons of money on studiotime, and I can help you save that money by helping you get a grasp on how to use the recording hardware/software you have in order to achieve the product you desire. Mic techniques, mixing/other post-production techniques, programming in Propellerhead Reason, using DAWs such as Pro Tools, Cubase, Sonar, etc. I just finished a project that was done completely in my home studio, you can listen to some of the finished product here (first three songs titled "Thick and Thin", "Hurricane" and "Let Go"): www.myspace.com/streamlineny.

I also have a long history with helping people tech their gear. I've worked in Tech Support for Presonus Audio Electronics here in Baton Rouge and have also done my fair share of tech support for customers of mine when I worked at Guitar Center in New York City. Quality Recordings at an affordable price (Baton Rouge)

Good quality recordings done at a comfortable pace in a comfortable setting. For a lot of local bands and artists, especially ones just starting out, I know getting good recordings on the small budget a new band is always faced with is often close to impossible, I'm hoping to help change that in Baton Rouge. Check the first three tracks on this myspace page for examples of work done here (these songs were tracked, edited, mixed and mastered completely in my home studio): www.myspace.com/streamlineny. I have a bachelors degree in Audio Production from Ithaca College in NY and years of experience in many different areas of music recording and production. I use a very nice ADL-600 dual tube preamp into my Pro Tools rig with plenty of great plug-ins and virtual instruments (including Propellerhead Reason).

Right now I'm starting off very cheap, $10 per hour or we can work on a per song basis ($150 per song for example). This often works out costing even less than $10 per hour and allows you all the time you need to track and mix in a comfortable and creative way, which I personally think always yields better results. I can also bring my rig to you to record in your home or at a live venue if you'd like to capture a live performance. I'm looking for two people to start an original metal band with. Currently we are two guitarists with ideas, but no voice, and no rhythm section. Original material mostly, but we'll add in some new twists on a few selected covers. Songwriting and blues/jazz influence is a plus. Ability to play an instrument or percussion a plus, since there may be a tune or two where you wouldn't sing lead.
