Hi I am a doctor/owner who has lived in this house x3 years but now finally am graduating residency. This is a gorgeous house in the safe area about 5 blocks away from Highland x Staring along the uphill side of Highland towards Kenilworth in what is pretty much a cookie cutter neighborhood with pond in middle. This house fortunately is sitting along the pond in its very backyard! This is ideal for medical workers working at Our Lady because it is 5min away down staring and you can dodge Essen Lane traffic by turning into perkins and then into OLOL from side. Living here is also convenient for LSU workers as its 10min away and easy drive down highland. Both routes mean you wont be sitting in highway stuck in infamous BR traffic. This house is a 2-story with 1st floor
composed of a master bed and personal large bathroom with tub, 2 sinks, large closet. 2nd floor is 2 beds + their own bathroom so technically 2 couples can live here with one in 1st floor and another in 2nd since they have their very own private 2nd floor + bath :). Washer/Dryer is brand new. Central AC unit is strong and working. Obviously if things go faulty in first few months; I cover. You have your very own garage with spacious 2 car parking
Please, as its craigslist, submit government identification, a brief CV/blurb of yourself and your intent with living here, and answer this morality questionnaire. I’m not a real estate mogul, property agent, not a business, not a monopoly, not a charlatan, so my goal is simply to pass my land on to someone who will live here longterm and treat it as their own home. I am not a salesman trying to scam and hide Skeletons in the closet; this house is not perfect- the garage door does not automatically open but its easy to manually do so, some tiles are cracked, the wooden catwalk over the pond has loose boards and not safe to walk on, pond does breed mosquitos, and I dont have a pest/rodent problem but you will see cobwebs in corners although they are Daddy Long-Legs cellar spiders and are harmless and I dont kill them because they never bite but protect me :). I am not trying to profit; I enjoy my job. I had strange/ridic emails such as if I take Section 8, offer free rent for labor, and price requests as if this property is in Baker, Zachary, Gardere, or north BR. Some of you audaciously ask for up to 50% off and the only way I can make that work is if I rent rooms individually or allow you to have the whole upstairs floor (2 beds / bathroom) to yourself. The most ideal clientelle would be newly weds who will make use of the 3 beds and live long term; a family with a baby on the way; or another resident working at OLOL like myself. I want to foster a long term relationship with my tenants to the point that after a long enough lease period I would even be willing to sign an offer to buyout this home at a discount.
