2 Original LA 1940 Quadrangle Maps (From 1927 Surveys) - $50 (Zachary)

Offered here are a pair of ORIGINAL Louisiana State Board of Engineers-Approved U.S. Dept. of the Interior Geologic Survey Quadrangle Maps from 1940. These are NOT REPRINTS OR REPRODUCTIONS but are maps actually issued during the '40's from contemporaneous field examinations by LA State Engineers and using U.S. aerial photography compiled from 1927 data. THIS is what you needed before GPS and are very interesting representations of Louisiana's land areas and waterways BEFORE all our coastal erosion.
MAP SIZE: 21" x 18" --- Scale 1/31,680 or 7 1/2 Minute Series and 1/62,500 or 15 Minute Series (See pictures. GREAT FOR FRAMING AND DISPLAY.)
All in excellent condition for their age -- they were stored in an environmentally controlled environment for over 60 years. VERY hard to find.
