Sales Price: $1,000--No PayPal payments or checks. Please don't ask. The Buyer will appear in person and pay in CASH ONLY.
As seen in the pictures, this distinctively styled apothecary cabinet made by the American Cabinet Co. and bears serial number 1 40-A1700. It has very attractive "mid-century modern" lines, although made in the early 20th Century. It is marked and tagged -- as seen in the pictures. The original "hidden compartment" at the top is present and operational. It comes from a New York estate and all of the original hardware is present.
The piece has 24 drawers -- 12 on each side, 8 shallow and 4 deep. There is also the hidden compartment at the top and 2 other disguised compartments. It could be adapted for any number of uses.
The cabinet has maintained ALL of its structural integrity over the years but it is in need of exterior refinishing. ALL of the original finish remains, however. The pictures are complete and accurate. All original with everything in place. The photos are provided to demonstrate the A-1 condition of this old cabinet. I have dusted off & wiped down the item, but have not otherwise tried to clean it. Everything is original.
MEASUREMENTS: 38" wide & 49 1/2" tall & 18"deep. 100% all original. All of the joints, connections and working parts are in great shape.
INSCRIPTIONS: This cabinet is metal-tagged and marked as being manufactured by The American Cabinet Co. in Two Rivers, Wisconsin -- but this piece was likely made in the company's factory in Rahway, NJ. They also made pieces in Los Angeles, all as noted on the metal tag.
VERY COLLECTIBLE and would make a phenomenal accent piece.
