Now Marked DOWN by 40%! Early 1900s Quarter-Sawn Oak Roll-Top Bank Teller Desk With Storage Bench -- ALL Original Hardware

This piece is an all-original 1900s-era oak writing desk often used in banks or post offices -- and the inclined feature in rare. When have you seen another inclined roll-top like this?

There is green felt within the writing compartment which may or may not be original but ALL of the original hardware is intact. The piece is 100% authentic and was used in in many settings around Port Hudson, St. Francisville and Woodville, MS over the years.

The hand-carved oak is quarter-sawn and the original hardware is present -- note the old "flathead" screws which are in every location. The detail of the construction is carefully completed and the incline roll-top feature works like a charm -- no issues. ALL done the "old, right" way. There is an old bench seat accompanying the piece, which opens to accommodate storage -- likely not original to the piece, but still old.

SALE PRICE: $500 -- No PayPal payments or checks. Please don't ask. The Buyer will appear in person and pay in CASH or postal money order ONLY.

The photos are provided to demonstrate the condition of this unusual inclined bank/post office piece. It has the marks of that service BUT is still absolutely SOLID IN EVERY RESPECT.

I have cleaned out the contents, dusted it off inside and out but have not otherwise tried to clean it. Even in its current condition, the quarter-sawn oak remains very attractive, the roll-top functionality is A-1 and the crafting of the piece is so solid. At this lowered price, you cannot go wrong with this piece.

MEASUREMENTS and DETAILS: This old display table has very appealing proportions: 46" tall, 31" deep and 4 feet wide.

VERY COLLECTIBLE AND PRICED RIGHT. These old "inclined" bank teller desks are also unusual -- hard to find, which an online search will confirm.
