As seen in the pictures, this is an unusual heavy duty aluminum fuel can which came from outbuildings near the old brick-making forge at Neville Plantation. It is NOT an old, battered piece -- it is in very good condition. No damage whatsoever to the item, so it has kept well over the years. The pictures are complete and accurate.
MEASUREMENTS: No damage and all working parts of the protecting lid mechanism work like the day it was made. The can stands 13 inches tall, 7 1/2 inches wide and 4 inches deep.
INSCRIPTIONS: On the front of the can, the model number is stamped: F883A, along with the stamped mark:
"PROTECTOSEAL CO CHICAGO."
