Did you know that most every cloud service provided by Google, Apple, etc. is available for you to privately host on your own home server? This severely limits big tech's ability to see your data and provides you great peace of mind.

Allow me to setup a private server in your home that you can access from anywhere that you have cell service or wifi. Nextcloud (Google Drive, Calendar and so much more), Immich (Google Photos) and Paperless NGX (Document storage and retrieval) are just a few of the alternatives available to you.

All I need is an old desktop or laptop computer that you are no longer using and that is free of important data (it will be wiped).

Note that the specs of said computer dictates what programs can be setup. Some machines 15+ years old will run a fine home server.
