Hi, my name is Lillie and I saw your post and wanted to send you a message.

We live in Ascension Parish a mile from the Livingston Parish line.
My 85 yr old dad, David, just decided to give up his very small dorm size apartment due to health and age. He’s moving in with my husband and my family.
Dad has been in the hospital 4 times since February 25. He’s had 2 surgeries and just had to go back in for a blood transfusion on Wed.
Dad has no insurance at this time, but we have applied for Medicaid on March 7th and he will receive Medicare on July 1st but it will cost him $298.50 because he has to pay a penalty since he’s had no coverage for 20 years.
We are going to be having a fundraiser yard sale for him in June or July (depending on his health, donations and the weather) and would like to see if after your sale/or if your items don’t sell, if you’d be interested in donating any leftovers that we may be able to resell or reuse for him? All proceeds are going directly towards dad’s increasing medical bills and his necessary disposable items and prescriptions.
My husband and I have a truck and trailer and will store everything until the day before the sale.
We have also opened a benefit account at Hancock Whitney bank listed as David L Raymond Benefit Account.
We are trying everything to get dad the medical attention he needs but must also pay his bills.
If you’d be interested in donating any leftovers from your sale. Please feel free to contact me and ask any questions you’d like. Right now we’re virtually an open book with tremendous faith but humble hearts. Depending on our pick up schedule and your location will determine the day and time we can come by.
I pray your sale does really well!
