Equal-value TRADE INTERESTS:
--Fender Stratocaster BODY in Black or Buttercream (yellow's Olympic White), factory routed for a standard Strat tremolo.

This MIM CAR body was purchased NEW in 2024 and then professionally mod'd to accept and active pickup system. If you have deeper than standard pickups that require a 9v battery to operate, then this body is what you need.

It is a factory FenderĀ® replacement body, hencho en Mexico (MIM), candy apple red.

Before the recent sale of the EMG pickup system (for which this body was mod'd), this guitar was fully assembled and played in rotation with my other guitars. Some of the photos show the finished product, but be mindful that this listing is for the BODY ONLY. The finished photos are for reference only and demonstrate the fit and the purpose of the modifications outlined below.

When fully loaded and ready to play, the entire guitar weighs 7.5lbs as currently outfitted.

The body was specifically modified to accommodate a Gilmour Red Strat project. All work is clean (see pics):

The pickup cavities were deepened for full travel of the 'deeper than stock' EMG DG20 pickups that were used for this project (listed separately). If desired, the top of the pickups may now be adjusted flush with the pickguard (see pics).
Also, a 'nest' was cleanly routed under the trem cavity cover for the 9v battery required for the EMG active pickups. This feature eliminates the alternative battery location inside the control cavity and is completely hidden under the tremolo cavity cover (see pic). It's much easier to remove 6 screws to replace the battery when needed than it is to slacken the strings, remove 11 screws, lift and slide the loaded pickguard away to access the battery, then reverse the process to return the guitar to playing status.

Additionally, 8-32 brass inserts were set to accommodate machine screws used to more securely install the strap buttons.
Note in the photo that represents the installed loaded DG20 system that the pickups are almost flush with the pickguard (unachievable before the mod), which is where I sensed the best position for a more 'Stratty tone.'

If you don't have the skills and tools to do these helpful mods yourself, you can get it done professionally for roughly $85 in labor at a minimum.

This listing is for the body only. Nothing else.

The body has no appreciable wear markings and is cleanly drilled for a Fender 11-hole pickguard, and all standard Fender Stratocaster hardware and plastic. The vibrato mounting is standard vintage 2 7/32".
