I bought this NEW direct from the Taylor factory in El Cajon California. The nine-digit serial number (see picture) pinpoints when work began on that guitar, along with its series and production position. My guitar (Serial #950427116), was built April 27, 1995 during Taylor’s highly regarded early California production years.
It’s in exceptional “like new” condition, especially for its age. It has been well cared for, mostly finger style played, never in cigarette smoke and always properly stored. Early internal ‘Fishman’ pick-up added immediately after purchase. (no ‘on-board’ controls)
It has Solid Sitka spruce top, Indian rosewood back and sides, Mahogany neck with ebony fingerboard, Rosette: Abalone. Classic dreadnought body, strong projection, deep bass, clear highs. Hand-signed interior label by Bob Taylor. Includes original Taylor hard shell case. Showroom finish with insignificant signs of use. No cracks, repairs, or structural issues. Neck is straight, action is comfortable, and it plays beautifully. Frets are in excellent condition too. This guitar has matured wonderfully over 30 years. It delivers the full, powerful dreadnought voice Taylor is known for. Early to mid-90s Taylor 800 Series guitars are sought after for their build quality and tone. The hand-signed label adds an extra layer of uniqueness. Price: $2,850
Local pickup preferred, but willing to discuss shipping at buyer’s expense. Feel free to message me with any questions or to set up a time to see/play it.
