Disabled Veteran looking for light labor or foreman type jobs. (Baton Rouge)

49 year old male Veteran looking for work in Baton Rouge area for now. I’m needing a job of any type so that I can buy a work truck and to provide food for my family, since LA Department of Family Services says I get too much money from the VA & SSDI for a family of 5. Previous job types held are DOTD Engineering Technician II, Martin Transport CDL Class A OTR Driver, Performance Contractors: Shop Tool Room Mechanic/ Weilding Tacker/ Fire Watch, USMC Calibration Electronics Repair. Are just a few to name. The last decade I’ve been out of work recovering from colon cancer and going to college earning a degree. My schooling is high school graduate with ASE Certification, ITI Technical College: AOS in Technical Drafting, Coastal College: CDL Certification, BRCC: AS Degree Process Technology/ Applied Science.
I have a list of certifications that I’ve gotten from the state with DOTD, which is way too many to list, but I can email you less than copy of all the paperwork from the state for them. DOTD was my last job. I have all my job performance reviews for each year. I know how to do construction work with building houses and development also knew how to run a kitchen.
Due to my health, it has been very hard to secure employment and from my age too it seems after you hit 40. Nobody really wants to employee specially if you’ve had cancer. I just need a job so I can buy the truck at my dreams and to have extra money to put more food on the table for my family. My kids are all in school still except for my eldest. Give me a chance you won’t be sorry thank you for your time.

PS: Please contact me by phone text messaging is preferred, because of all the scam calls there are, and emails being sent show contact info Chris
